Insurance work
Our role and its limits
Ledger Roofing documents roof conditions and explains scope in plain language. We do not adjust, negotiate, manage or advocate an insurance claim on an owner's behalf, and we do not waive, absorb, discount or pay any insurance deductible. All communication with a carrier is directed by the property owner.
Coverage and warranty
What backs the work
Certificates and warranty documents are issued in writing for each project. Nothing below replaces the terms in your signed proposal.
Certificate of insurance
General liability and workers' compensation are carried on every job. A certificate naming the owner or manager as certificate holder is issued before mobilization, on request, at no cost.
Workmanship warranty
Installation workmanship is warranted in writing on every replacement. The term, what it covers and what voids it are stated on the proposal before you sign, not discovered afterward.
Manufacturer warranty
System warranties are issued by the membrane or shingle manufacturer, not by us. Term and coverage depend on the system specified and the inspection the manufacturer requires at closeout. We register it and hand you the document.
Lien waivers
Conditional and unconditional lien waivers are provided with progress and final billing so owners are not exposed to supplier or subcontractor claims.
Safety
Crews work to OSHA fall-protection requirements on low-slope and steep-slope work. Site-specific safety plans are provided for occupied commercial and multifamily properties on request.
Closeout package
Every completed job ends with a LedgerProof record: photos, measurements, materials installed, warranty documents and final invoicing in one file you keep.
